Singer and guitarist Joel Justin, leader of the alternative rock band Mad Ants of California, is in Salvador and is committed to achieving great success here. Tomorrow he will enter the studio of Ivete Sangalo with Biano musicians of axé to record a demo of some of his new compositions. "I want to mix my rock music with the rhythms and percussion sounds of Bahia," says the artist, who has three solo albums and five albums with the Mad Ants. He recently performed a duet with Margareth Menezes at the prestigious Troféu Caymmi Awards ceremony at the TCA Auditorium. Songs of the composer have been used in feature films in North America, such as Stephen King's "Sometimes They Come Back" and in the upcoming Canadian film "In Limbo."
